A Celebration of Film 2007

Lighthouse Productions, part of The Learning Lighthouse City Learning Centre, worked with young people on Wirral to make these four short films Teenage Kicks, Underfoot Safari 2, Convolution and Don’t Label Me. The filmmaking was supported by First Light Movies, the youth branch of the UK Film Council.

The 82 young people came from seven schools on the Wirral; Upton Hall School (FCJ), St Anselm’s College, Thingwall Primary School, Stanley School, Pensby High School for Girls (Specialist College), Hilbre High School and South Wirral High School. Teenage Kicks, Underfoot Safari 2, Convolution and Don’t Label Me began as outline ideas which were developed with the help of professional filmmakers and staff at The Learning Lighthouse, ensuring that everyone was fully immersed in the magic of film making.
