Wilson Trophy 2009

Fourty two local, national and international teams took part in this year's Wilson Trophy, which marked its 60th anniversary. The annual event, which first took place in 1947, is sailed in two-man Firefly dinghies, provided by West Kirby Sailing Club. The boats, which are matched trios of colour-coded dinghies, make watching from the grandstand beside the Marine lake easy. The identical boats, sails and equipment make team racing a true test of sailor's skills. For more information about the event visit www.wksc.net
