Wirral Schools' Film Festival 2009

The Sixth annual Wirral Schools' Film Festival took place on the 2nd July 2009 at Weatherhead High School. The Festival is a red carpet event and celebrates young people's film making and showcases exciting, unusual and innovative films which are the result of hard work and a passion for film making. This year the event premiered eighty two entries from twenty six schools and was attended by over two hundred film makers aged four to eighteen.

Lyn Papadopoulos, story liner and script writer (her credits include Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and Cornation Street), the Mayor and Mayoress of Wirral all attended the awards ceremony.
